Surface Water: The Dismal River flows through the property for two miles. Flow in the Dismal River is due almost entirely to ground-water discharge through seeps, springs, and boiling springs.
   
Vegetation: The vegetation of the Dismal River Basin is typical of the Sand Hills prairie. The Sand Hills prairie contains tallgrass species, shortgrass species, sedges, and forbs. Deciduous trees grow along the banks of the river. Cedar, Hackberry and Ash are the most common trees on the property.
   
Wildlife: Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Coyotes, Antelope, Bobcats, Ducks, Sharptail Grouse, Prairie Chickens, Doves, an occasional Mountain Lion and more. Additionally the river is home to Brown and Rainbow Trout.
   
Hunting: Enjoy tremendous Deer hunting on this property during archery, rifle and black powder deer season. Grouse and Prairie Chicken provide upland game hunting as well.
   
Fishing: The Dismal River provides trout fishing throughout the property.
   
Habitat: With considerable elevation change, steep canyon walls and a variety of trees the ranch has excellent habitat near the River. The rolling hills away from the river should not be overlooked, some of the nicest deer are taken in these types of hills within a mile or two of the river.
   
AUM: Depending on a variety of factors this ranch will run around 130 cows year around.
